An English Delft charger, London, circa 1750-60, painted in blue, green, red, yellow and manganese with a chinoiserie floral design incorporating peony and willow, diameter 34.3cm, together with a plate painted in the same pattern, diameter 23cm, and four Lambeth plates, circa 1765-75, each polychrome painted with a parrot amidst rockwork and flowers (faults and restoration throughout). Note: both of these designs are illustrated by Michael Archer 'Delftware The Tin-Glazed Earthenware of the British Isles', page 182, B. 135 and page 197, B.175. Provenance: from the collection of the late Professor Maurice Stacey.
