A naïve English Delft plate, probably London or Bristol, mid-18th century, of 'pancake' form, painted in blue with a floral spray within a simplified foliate and geometric rim, diameter 21.7cm, together with a similar example, blue painted '14' to base, diameter 22.5cm, and another of 'Ann Gomm' type, painted in yellow, blue, green and red, diameter 27.7cm (each with fritted chipping). Provenance: from the collection of the late Professor Maurice Stacey.
