A pre-Columbian pottery pot, probably Mexican, 200 BC/200 AD, of bulbous shape with tapered neck and flared rim, later painted with scrollwork and stylized foliate motifs, height 28cm (chip to rim). Provenance: from the collection of the late Professor Maurice Stacey.
