A Japanese Satsuma earthenware trumpet vase, Meiji period, the flared body painted and gilt with opposing figural panels, reserved against a dark blue ground with gilt overlaid decoration, raised on three bamboo moulded feet, gilt signature including Shimazu mon to base, height 24.5cm (chip to foot).

A Chinese brown overlay on white glass snuff bottle, Qing dynasty, of rounded rectangular form, the cinnamon brown overlay carved with three goats, trees and flowers, flanked by a pair of oval ring handles, one side with four characters, height 6.6cm (small chip to footrim), fitted with a coral stopper.
