A Chinese brown overlay on white glass snuff bottle, Qing dynasty, of rounded rectangular form, the cinnamon brown overlay carved with three goats, trees and flowers, flanked by a pair of oval ring handles, one side with four characters, height 6.6cm (small chip to footrim), fitted with a coral stopper. Provenance: from the private collection of David Armitage, former conservator to the Department of Eastern Art at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, between 1970 and 1999.
