A Chinese 'puddingstone' snuff bottle, Qing dynasty, with finely hollowed pebble body, length 5.2cm, fitted with a coral stopper. Provenance: from the private collection of David Armitage, former conservator to the Department of Eastern Art at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, between 1970 and 1999.
