A Chinese underglaze blue and copper red porcelain snuff bottle, late Qing dynasty, of cylindrical form, painted with two figures on horseback, height 8.1cm (minor nick to rim). Provenance: from the private collection of David Armitage, former conservator to the Department of Eastern Art at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, between 1970 and 1999.
