An Edwardian mahogany balloon cased mantel timepiece with eight day movement, the circular enamelled dial with black Roman hour numerals, the case with inlaid decoration, height 23.8cm, with key, together with an American brass cylindrical cased travelling bedside timepiece, diameter 5.7cm, with leather case.

An impressive late Victorian mahogany bracket clock with eight day triple fusee movement chiming quarters on eight bells or four gongs and striking hours on a larger gong, the floral engraved gilt dial with silvered subsidiary chime/silent, pendulum regulation and chime selection dials above a silvered chapter ring with Arabic hour numerals, all within a pierced and engraved gilt floral and foliate scroll surround, the case with domed top, carved with foliate surmount and bellflower pendant panels, flanked by a pair of reeded finials, the stepped arch pediment with carved mask and foliate scroll frieze, above a glazed door, flanked by carved Ionic capital and bellflower corner columns, the sides with pierced fret panels, on a stepped and moulded plinth base, height 58cm, with pendulum, winder and case keys, together with a matching mahogany wall bracket, height 34.2cm.

A mid-20th century giltwood sunburst wall timepiece, the silvered dial inscribed 'Garrard & Co Ltd... an Elliott Clock', length 66cm ( some faults).

A Victorian mahogany stick barometer, the silvered rectangular dial with vernier scale and inscribed 'Bithray Royal Exchange, London', the case with swan neck pediment and ivory finial, the trunk fitted with a mercury thermometer above a turned cistern cover, height 97cm. Note: a non-transferrable ivory exemption certificate has been granted for the sale of this item.

An early 20th century brass cased ship's style timepiece, the unsigned movement with platform escapement, the 8-inch painted circular dial with Roman hour numerals, slow/fast indicator and detailed 'Kendal & Dent London', the hinged bezel with bevelled glass, diameter 23cm, later fitted with a brass hanging wall mount.

A George III oak longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the 12-inch brass breakarch dial with engraved eagle to arch above Roman hour numerals, subsidiary seconds and date dials, inscribed 'Jas Staples Odiham', the hood with moulded arch pediment and brass ball finials, above an arched trunk door and plain base with plinth, height 207cm, with pendulum and two brass cased weights. Note: James Staples is a recorded Hampshire clockmaker working in Odiham between 1757 and 1795.

A George III oak longcase clock with thirty hour movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the 11-inch square brass dial with matt centre, the chapter ring with Roman hour numerals and inscribed 'Richard Stedman, Godalming', the hood with moulded pediment and glazed door, above a rectangular trunk door and plain base and plinth, height 180.4cm, with pendulum and weight (alterations and faults). Note: Richard Stedman is a recorded Surrey clockmaker working in Godalming pre-1773 to 1839.

A George III oak longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the 12-inch painted breakarch dial with gilt urn and scroll decoration, black Roman hour numerals, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, inscribed 'W. Stanford South Walsham', the hood with moulded arch pediment, glazed door and turned columns, the arched trunk door above a plain base and plinth, height 209cm, with pendulum and two weights. Note: William Stanford is a recorded Norfolk clockmaker working in South Walsham circa 1780.

A Regency mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the 12-inch silvered circular dial with black Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, inscribed 'Bartley Bristol', the hood with swan neck pediment and brass finial above a glazed door and fluted ebonized pillars, the rectangular trunk door flanked by cut cornered columns, on a plain base and bracket feet, height 220cm, with pendulum and two weights, the trunk door interior bearing 'M. Bartley, Clock & Watch Maker... Nicholas Street Bristol...' paper label. Note: Mark Bartley is a recorded clockmaker working in Bristol from 1816 to 1855.

A late 19th century brown patinated spelter cased mantel timepiece, modelled as Atlas holding a globe aloft, with eight day movement, the dial with Roman numerals, on a pierced base with dolphin feet, height 55.5cm (minor faults).

A late 19th century French bronze and slate eagle and globe mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the globe with applied gilt Roman hour numerals and gilt zodiac outer ring, supported by an eagle with outstretched wings, perched on a laurel branch, all raised on a breakfront slate base with toupie feet, height 33.5cm, with pendulum (missing applied decoration to front of base).

A George III Lancastrian oak longcase clock with mahogany and inlaid decoration, the eight day movement striking on a bell, the 12-inch square brass dial with engraved centre, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, the chapter ring with Roman hour numerals and outer Arabic minutes, inscribed 'P. Clare Manchester', the hood with moulded pediment above a glazed door and turned columns, the crossbanded trunk door and base with inlaid star motif, flanked by a pair of mahogany corner columns, on a plinth base, height 199cm, (restoration), with pendulum, two weights and winder. Note: Peter Clare(I) is a recorded clockmaker working at Deansgate Manchester from 1764. He was succeeded by his son Peter (II).
