LOT 4186
A rare Staffordshire salt glazed stoneware teapot and cover, circa 1760, the globular body with crabstock handle, spout and finial, enamelled to one side with a titled portrait of the King of Prussia, to the reverse a crowned eagle with the motto 'Semper Sublimis', against an ermine ground which extends across the base and cover, unmarked, height 9.5cm (restored). Note: a similar example was sold at Bonhams, London, 18th April 2012, Lot 26.
