An unusual Dutch Delft tea caddy and cover, late 18th century, of rectangular section with canted corners and rounded shoulders, polychrome enamelled to each side with figures in a landscape setting against an iron red ground filled with famille rose chinoiserie style flowers and foliage around a circular portrait of a lady wearing a hat to each side, unmarked, height 16.5cm (faults and repairs). Note: a similar example was sold at Lyon & Turnbull, 8th May 2010, Lot 118.
