Two Banco Central de Venezuela partial banknote die proof engraver's test strike portrait vignettes of General Rafael Urdaneta in military uniform, as used on twenty bolivares notes circa 1989, each in black on oversized paper/card with details and date '8-3-88' in ink to top right corner, together with two specimen twenty bolivares notes, one a partial proof, the other with red overstamp 'Muestra sin valor' [Sample without value] (all extremely fine), and a photographic portrait transparency, probably used a study. Provenance: from the personal archive of the late Alan Dow, master banknote engraver to Bradbury Wilkinson & Co and the Bank of England.
