A Charles II silver Liberty of Conscience medal 1672 by Philip Roettiers, obverse with armoured and draped bust facing right, reverse with figure of Libertas seated, holding a sword and cornucopia in her right hand and a book inscribed 'Fides' in her left, edge detailed, Eimer 249, diameter 59mm, weight 94.9g (fine/very fine, fields marked, uneven patina, possibly cleaned in the past but now toned). Provenance: the collection of the late Robert Pearce of Normanton Hall, Normanton-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire.
