A mid-17th century silver Charles II coronation medal 1661 by Thomas Simon, obverse with crowned bust facing right, signed 'T.S.' to truncation of regalia, reverse with king enthroned being crowned by Peace, Eimer 221, diameter 29mm, weight 8.7g (extremely fine with even cabinet tone and reflective fields). Provenance: the collection of the late Robert Pearce of Normanton Hall, Normanton-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire.
