A Dutch Delft royal portrait dish, late 17th century, of circular shape, moulded with two rows of flutes, painted in blue, yellow and green outlined in black with a central portrait of King William of Orange, flanked by a 'K' and 'W', the rim with tulips and roses, diameter 34cm (haircrack, minor restoration). Provenance: from the collection of the late Professor Maurice Stacey.
