HAMILTON, Patrick. Twenty Thousand Streets Under the Sky. London: Constable & Co. Ltd., 1935. First collected edition, inscribed in ink by the author Patrick Hamilton to the half-title, 8vo (183 x 116mm.) (Browning, a crease to the preliminaries.) Original red cloth (slight sunning to spine, a split to rear joint). Note: the book is inscribed by Hamilton using his pet name 'Disraeli'. It reads 'For Lois, with love from Disraeli'. Lois was Hamilton's first wife and they married in 1930. Hamilton dedicated the 'The Siege of Pleasure' to her and after their divorce he continued to write affectionate letters to her.
