LOT 1184
A late 19th century French chinoiserie gilt metal and porcelain mantel clock garniture, the timepiece with eight day movement and platform escapement, the case modelled as a Chinese drum and stand cast and pierced with dragon scrolls, the polychrome decorated porcelain circular dial with Arabic numerals on a turquoise band, the integral base inset with a porcelain panel painted with a scene of blossom and rural landscape, reserved against a yellow ground with polychrome and gilt decoration, height 35cm, together with a pair of matching twin branch candelabra, each inset with a porcelain panel painted with a putto against a polychrome and gilt decorated yellow ground, height 27.5cm.
