A Japanese Satsuma earthenware koro and cover, Meiji period, probably by Kinkozan but unmarked, the cover finely painted and gilt with butterflies beneath a flower bud finial, the circular body with a band of eight panels filled with children, landscapes, millefleurs and butterflies, the underside of the body with a band of simulated brocade panels, on three short feet, unmarked, height 7.8cm.
