James Hayllar (British 1829-1920) - Portrait study of a girl, possibly a Scottish fisher-girl, oil on board, signed and dated Nov 1885 lower left, 25cm x 20cm, within a gilt frame and mount. Note: the artist was known to be in Scotland at this date.

Provenance: Molly Rendell, late art dealer of Brighton, who specialised in works by American, Australian and New Zealand artists.
