Near contemporary calf, red morocco lettering pieces to spines (rubbing to extremities, minor loss, seven of the lettering pieces missing). London: printed for C. Bathurst, W. Strahan, J.F. and C. Rivington et al., 1778-1780. 12 vols., (including 2 supplements), second edition, revised and augmented, 8vo (215 x 132mm.) Portrait frontispiece of Shakespeare to vol. 1, folding plate, 2 engraved plates to the supplements. (Moderate spotting and browning to all volumes.) Contemporary mottled calf, gilt borders, black and red lettering pieces to the spines (wear to all spine ends and loss to two black lettering pieces).
