A mid-19th century Continental marble, ormolu and brown patinated cast bronze mounted inkstand, surmounted by a pair of recumbent figures after Michaelangelo, representing Day and Night, the shaped base fitted with a pair of glass inkwells with foliate cast ormolu lids, width 52cm (repair to base).
