A Victorian gold and black enamelled circular mourning brooch relating to Princess Alice, the third child and second daughter of Queen Victoria, glazed with a photographic portrait framed by a black enamelled inscription ‘ALICE b.25.APRIL.1843.d.14.DECR 1878’, the back monogram engraved ‘From V R I’, weight 13.6g, diameter 3.2cm, with a case.
