A pair of satin glass vases, late 19th century, probably Stourbridge, gilt and enamelled with opposing birds on spiky, leafy branches, the rims with gilt ground white dotted borders, height 22cm, painted numerals and letters to bases, together with a pair of Thomas Webb & Sons cream glass vases gilt with butterflies amidst prunus and pine, painted 'V257' to bases, height 26cm, a pale blue shaded satin glass vase gilt in the manner of Jules Barbe, and a similar pair of shaded pink glass vases gilt with insects amidst flowers and foliage, height 14.5cm. Provenance: from the collection of John and Poppy Stallebrass.
