First edition, 8vo (220 x 133mm.) 14pp. ‘Prospectus of the Society for the Extinction of the Slave Trade and For the Civilisation of Africa’ bound-in, engraved folding map as frontispiece. (Toning, occasional pencil mark.) 21st century green half morocco over marbled paper-covered boards, two black morocco lettering pieces to the spine (endpapers replaced). – And a further volume related to slavery (Hinton Rower Helper’s ‘The Impending Crisis of the South: How to Meet It’, 1860, 8vo) (2).
