Sixth edition, 8vo (218 x 131mm.) 8 engraved plates, including frontispiece and portrait, tissue-guards, numerous illustrations in the text. (Toning.) Late 20th century green half calf over marbled paper-covered boards, maroon morocco lettering piece to the spine (slight sunning to spine, endpapers replaced). – And a further volume (Thomas Rymer Jones’ ‘A General Outline of the Animal Kingdom, and Manual of Comparative Anatomy’, 1841, 8vo) (2).
