COOKERY. – James MANNING. The Nature of Bread, Honestly and Dishonestly Made… and an Easy Method of Making It in Private Families. London: R. Davis and M. Cooper, [circa 1758.] 4to (205 x 121mm.) (Dust-soiling to title, light browning, blanks replaced.) 20th century half calf over marbled paper-covered boards (endpapers replaced). Provenance: Edward Braxton Reynolds (bookplate to the front pastedown). – And a further three volumes related to cookery (including John Farley’s ‘The London Art of Cookery, and Housekeeper’s Complete Assistant’, 1807, 8vo) (4).
