ROWLING, J.K. [The Deluxe Editions.] London: Bloomsbury, 1999-2007. 5 vols., first deluxe editions, 8vo (233 x 152mm.) Original cloth, gilt lettering and signatures to upper covers with mounted paper illustrations, g.e., original cellophane. Note: all five volumes have ‘First Edition’ on the barcode stickers to the cellophane, but without opening them it is impossible to ascertain if they are first edition, first impressions. One of them has been opened: ‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban’, and it is a first edition, eighth impression. – And a further eight volumes by J.K. Rowling, all first editions (including ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’, 2000, 8vo) (14).
