A mid-18th century pinchbeck Admiral Vernon medal commemorating the Battle of Cartagena 1741, obverse with Admiral Edward Vernon greeting Rear-Admiral Sir Chaloner Ogle on a scroll-decorated ground, reverse with two ships entering Cartagena harbour, the town beyond (good/fine). Provenance: purchased from Timothy Millett Ltd 16.11.2002.
