A late 18th century silver medal or token by A. McKenzie commemorating Major General Claude Martin, East India Company, 1735-1800, obverse with uniformed bust facing right, signed 'McKenzie' below, reverse with Urdu inscription, diameter 42mm, weight 31.5g (extremely fine, some patchy cabinet tone with reflective fields), with an old ink-written collector's ticket. Provenance: the collection of the late Robert Pearce of Normanton Hall, Normanton-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire.
