A mid-17th century silver Charles II coronation medal 1661 by Thomas Rawlins, obverse with crowned bust facing left with Garter collar, detailed 'Coronatus' below, reverse with Charles as a shepherd tending three flocks of sheep, representing the three kingdoms, edge indistinctly detailed, Eimer 220, diameter 33mm, weight 22.2g (good/fine with old cabinet tone, some weakness in design, edge bruises in one or two places). Provenance: the collection of the late Robert Pearce of Normanton Hall, Normanton-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire.
