LOT 3147
An early 17th century silver medal by Nicholas Briot commemorating the baptism of Prince Charles 1630, obverse with four crowned cruciform shields with arms of England, France, Scotland and Ireland, rays in angles, reverse with eight lines of script, Eimer 117, diameter 29mm, weight 7.2g (good/very fine with old cabinet tone). Provenance: the collection of the late Robert Pearce of Normanton Hall, Normanton-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire.
