A Charles I cast and chased silver royalist badge 1625-1649 by Thomas Rawlins, obverse with bust of Charles facing right with elaborate ruff, reverse with crowned coat of arms within inscribed garter and border of flowers and leaves, suspension ring to top and bottom, Eimer 167b, width 42mm, weight 17.2g (very fine with darker old cabinet tone). Provenance: the collection of the late Robert Pearce of Normanton Hall, Normanton-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire.
