A Godwin Lugwardine, Hereford, encaustic tile, late 19th century, with a Gothic revival design, moulded marks to reverse, 15cm square, a similar tile in tones of grey and blue, two Minton encaustic tiles in the style of Pugin, each 15cm square, a green toned Maw tile, designed by John Pollard Seddon, 10.8cm square, a Thomas Elsley tile, painted with blue chrysanthemum, 15.3cm square, two Copeland tiles, decorated with green daisy flowers, two marbled tiles and a tile panel, painted in blue with a titled view of Kirkstall Abbey, framed, 34.5cm by 20cm. Provenance: from the private collection of David Armitage, former conservator to the Department of Eastern Art at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, between 1970 and 1999.
