An English delft plate, Bristol, circa 1760, painted in blue in the manner of John Bowen, Redcliffe Back Pottery, with a European landscape view including two figures standing by a sponged tree, diameter 23cm (cracked). Provenance: from the private collection of David Armitage, former conservator to the Department of Eastern Art at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, between 1970 and 1999.
