LOT 1702
A delft octagonal plate and matching dish, Liverpool or Dublin, circa 1770, painted in blue with La Pêche, depicting a standing figure in an archway watching a seated figure fishing, plate 22cm diameter, dish 34cm long, together with another octagonal delft plate, Liverpool, 1780s, painted in blue with chinoiserie flowers within a panelled trellis and floral rim, and a London delft plate, 1780s, painted with a Chinese garden, diameter 23cm (faults, restoration and repairs). Provenance: from the private collection of David Armitage, former conservator to the Department of Eastern Art at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, between 1970 and 1999.
