Circle of Frederick Buck - an early 19th century oval portrait miniature, identified as Captain Alexander Anderson, watercolour on ivory, 8cm x 6.2cm, within an ebonized frame, inscribed 'Capt. Alexander Anderson 52nd Regt, Died 1833 Brother of Gen. Paul Anderson' and dated 1810 verso. Note: a non-transferrable ivory exemption certificate has been granted for the sale of this item. Provenance: family descent from Lieutenant-General Paul Anderson to the current vendor. Formerly at Grace Dieu, Waterford.
