Continental School - an early 20th century rectangular portrait miniature depicting a three-quarter-length nude siren emerging from water, a diaphanous translucent cloth around her lower half, watercolour on ivory, bearing initials 'C.B', 12cm x 8.5cm, within a gilt metal frame with hinged strut to reverse. Note: a non-transferrable ivory exemption certificate has been granted for the sale of this item.
