An early Victorian mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the 12-inch painted breakarch dial with landscape scene to arch, subsidiary seconds and date aperture and inscribed 'S. Granville Devonport', the arched hood with turned finials, glazed door and columns, the arched trunk door flanked by a pair of reeded cut corner columns, on a plain base and bracket feet, height 219cm, with pendulum and two weights. Note: Samuel Granville is a recorded Devon clockmaker working at Fore Street, Devonport, Plymouth.
