A superb Ridgway part dessert service, circa 1845-50, pattern No. 6/2767, each piece richly painted with a central still life study of fruit and/or flowers on a marble ledge, within deep blue ground rims reserved with gilt edged apricot ground foliate scrolls and trellis cartouches beneath scroll rims, comprising a two-handled footed centrepiece, height 19.5cm, two tall comports, three shorter comports, two low stands, two circular dishes, two rectangular dishes, two oval dishes and twenty-two plates, diameter 23cm, together with nine matching plates and two low stands in pattern No. B/791, diameter of plates 22.5cm (minor faults). Provenance: from the collection of the late Graham and Rhiannon Berridge.
