LOT 1902
A rare First World War period British and colonial 'Welcome Home' flag, comprising red, white and blue bands, the text printed in red on the central white band, 109cm x 221cm. Provenance: retained by Pte. A. Penfold of the East Lancashire Regiment, who was demobilized on 12th February 1919 at the Crystal Palace, writing 'Thank the Lord' on the inside cover of his Soldiers' Small Book. Photocopies of his Small Book are included in the lot.
