A large collection of Royal Air Force and Royal Canadian Air Force ephemera relating to Herbert Thomas Balcombe and his time serving as a navigator between late 1943 and 1946, including a logbook containing details of training in Manitoba through to service, mainly on Mitchells and Liberators, including a mission on 16th December 1945 as part of Operation Deadlight, a large format album containing squadron and personal photographs, other items relating to service, a large group of training-associated material and his official commission 17th November 1944 as pilot officer.
