An early 20th century Royal Navy Reserve officer's dress sword by J.R. Gaunt & Son Limited, late Edward Thurkle, London & Birmingham, No. 14566, with single-edged fullered blade, blade length 79cm, with overall etched designs and naval anchor insignia, cast gilt brass folding guard, detailed with anchor and 'R.N.R.', wire-bound fishskin grip and lion's head pommel, the guard with original braided knot, with brass-mounted leather scabbard.
