An 1827 pattern Rifle Brigade officer's dress sword by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London, No. 25281, with single-edged presentation blade, blade length 84cm, detailed on one side to the 18th Middlesex Rifle Volunteers and on the other with 'Presented to Major J. Vickerman on his promotion by the present and past members of A. Company 18th Middlesex Rifle Volunteers in recognition of their esteem and appreciation of his long and valuable services while in command of the company. 16th December 1882', gothic openwork hilt with Rifle Brigade insignia, and fishskin grip, with nickel-finish scabbard.
