A Chinese blue and white porcelain monteith, mark of Kangxi but 20th century, of steep-sided circular form with notched rim, the interior painted with the eight Buddhistic emblems, the exterior with alternating panels of flowers and precious objects, reserved against a foliate ground, underglaze blue six-character mark to base, height 16.3cm, diameter 32.8cm.
