(All of the Chatelain are heavily damp-stained, 6 of the Sandby's are heavily damp-stained, 3 of the remaining Sandby's have small paper-repairs to insect damage in the margins; they and the rest also have minor soiling to margins, 6 of those Sandby's have pencil annotation to the lower margin.) Disbound. Note: rare. Sandby's etchings were to illustrate Allan Ramsey's pastoral comedy 'The Gentle Shepherd', possibly as a memorial to him after his death in 1758.
