Fourth edition, 4to (263 x 190mm.) Title, 6pp. introduction, 75 engraved plates. (Occasional browning and minor soiling, title laid down with repair, lacking 5 plates.) Contemporary half calf over marbled paper-covered boards, gilt lettering to spine (surface rubbing to covers). Note: this edition unrecorded in ESTC. - And a further four related volumes (including J.D. Harding's 'The Principles and Practices of Art', 1845, folio) (5).
