Griffiths, 1827]. Engraved title with vignette of George slaying the dragon, dedication, preface, index, 29 engraved plates. (Some soiling to margins, browning, marginal tear plate VIII, marginal loss to plate X.) [Bound with:] KNIGHT, Frederick. Knight's Heraldic Illustrations Designed for the Use of Herald Painters' and Engravers. London: T. Griffiths, [1843?]. Engraved title, 19 engraved plates. (Spotting, minor soiling, marginal loss to plate 14 and 20.) Small folio (283 x 208mm.) Late 19th century black cloth, gilt lettering to spine (rubbing to extremities, endpapers replaced). Provenance: J. Carris-Brooke Merrick (gift inscribed to on front-free endpaper); G.W. Betjemann (gift inscribed to on the front-free endpaper). - And a further two volumes (including volume 2 of Joseph Edmondson's 'A Complete Body of Heraldry', 1780, folio) (3).
