LOT 1085
A Chinese famille rose enamelled yellow ground reticulated vase, mark of Qianlong but probably Republic period or later, the two-section ovoid body pierced with eight-trigram design divided by a ruyi head central band, painted with polychrome lotus flowerheads and scrolling tendrils on a yellow sgraffito ground, enclosing a blue and white revolving inner vase which rotates via the flared neck, flanked by pierced gilt handles, underglaze blue pseudo seal mark to turquoise glazed base, height 20.5cm (damaged, repaired and some losses). Note: this vase would appear to be a close copy of the Imperial vase with eight-trigram design in the National Palace Museum in Tapei.
