A George III oak longcase clock with thirty hour movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the 11-inch square silvered dial engraved with black Roman hours and inscribed 'Longhurst Steyning', the hood with glazed door and turned columns, above a rectangular trunk door, on a plain base and bracket feet, height 199cm, with pendulum and weight. Note: Richard Longhurst is a recorded clockmaker working in Steyning, West Sussex, and then Seaford, East Sussex.
