A mid-19th century mahogany circular wall timepiece with brass eight day single fusee movement, the 12-inch painted convex dial with black Roman hour numerals and inscribed 'W. Dann Maidstone', within a moulded circular surround with cast brass bezel and convex glass, the case box with hinged doors to side and underside, diameter 37cm, with pendulum. Note: W. Dann is recorded in 'Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World' by Brian Loomes as working in Maidstone between 1826 and 1866.
