LOT 1101
An early 19th century mahogany circular wall timepiece with brass eight day single fusee movement, the repainted 12-inch convex dial with black Roman hour numerals and inscribed 'S.B. Gaze London', within a moulded circular surround with cast brass bezel and convex glass, the case box with hinged doors to side and underside, diameter 35.5cm, with pendulum. Note: Samuel Bartholomew Gaze is recorded in 'Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World' by Brian Loomes as working in London between 1817 and 1857.
