A Chinese Canton export ivory brisé fan, early to mid-19th century, the guards carved in relief with figures and trees, the eighteen sticks carved and pierced in low relief with a central monogram within a border of figures, pavilions and shells, length 18.4cm (faults), together with a Canton export ivory puzzle ball and stand, total height 21.5cm, a Japanese bamboo and paper fan, decorated with figures of maidens, length 22.5cm, and an Indian brass kumkum spice box.
